Two different types of managers.
Type 1:
He or she:
- Don’t care if they like him/her or not
- Just want their respect
- Manage by numbers
- Doesn’t like to deal with people
- Loves to control by intimidating employees
Type 2:
He or she:
- Loves to work with people
- Keeps employees focused
- Connect people (employees) to the vision of the organization
- Inspire people
- Cares about employees (open communication)
I am a type two manager. I believe in empowerment, in motivating employees, making employees feel valued, and appreciated. I also believe in an open communication channel. When employees feel they are treated with respect and feel they are valued, employees will become committed. I believe in continuous improvement and being open to learn new things every single day.
